You’re on the web page of the Elephant Vocabulary App. This is (to my knowledge) the first app that uses the local LLM in the new iOS/macOS to assist with vocabulary learning. I wrote the app mostly for myself and thought that I can also publish it for other people to use.
Why?
I wanted to learn French vocabulary and none of the available vocabulary trainers on the AppStore were really helping me. There were no apps available that asked me the words in more varied ways than just “give me the translation or you’re wrong”. Why don’t they make any fill-in or memory quizz modes?
Besides, I wanted to rehearse my Spanish vocabulary while learning French, so I thought why not do both at the same time ! That’s why I developed the Elephant App.
